Workshop Description:

We’ll cover the basics of self-publishing – how to go from typing “The End” straight through to marketing your newly published book. 
Going through the alphabet letter by letter, we’ll talk about
-          Building a schedule
-          Book Covers
-          Detailed instructions on formatting your book as an ebook 
-          Formatting for Smashwords
-          Beginning Marketing
-          Print on Demand through CreateSpace
-          Your Virtual Presence
-          Uploading your work
By the end of the course you’ll be an expert at Microsoft Word and have a number of options on how to create your ebook. There is also a Facebook Page to support students before, during and after the course.


About the Presenter:

Meredith Bond is an award-winning author of a series of traditionally published Regency romances and indie-published paranormal romances. Known for her characters "who slip readily into one's heart", Meredith's heart belongs to her husband and two children. Her paranormal romances include Magic in the Storm, Storm on the Horizon, and the short story "In A Beginning". Her traditional Regencies have recently been republished. 

Meredith also teaches writing. If you want a taste of her class in book form, Chapter One is available at your favorite e-retailer.
