Joining RWA_® Online Is Easy!     Just 3 easy steps:

(1)  YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF ROMANCE WRITERS OF AMERICA_®

If you are not currently a member, please use the link below to go to Romance Writers of America's^® website and complete the membership process there.  We will process your membership to RWA^® Online while you're waiting for your paperwork to come back from National, but you will have to provide us with your National membership number within 3 months of your chapter application to prevent suspension from RWA^® Online.  (P.S.  Suspension due to failure to obtain a National membership will forfeit your chapter membership dues.)

(2)  FILL OUT THE APPLICATION AND PAY YOUR DUES

RWA^® Online chapter fees are $25 per year.  Members who join after September 1st of each year are prorated to $12.50 and will be asked to pay the full renewal fee after the first of the year.  We accept payment by check, money order, and PayPal.  You will be provided with the snail mail payment address or a handy dandy PayPal link after the membership form is submitted.  A note to those in a hurry to come play with RWA^® Online - PayPal is secure and most members who use it are given chapter access in less than 24 hours!  Snail mail takes longer, but as soon as we receive your payment you'll be welcomed into the chapter!

Chapter membership runs on a calendar year basis from March to March, with our renewal period operating in late January and February.  Members joining under our prorated plan will be required to renew the following year. Members who join in the current year during January and February do not need to renew. Renewal fee is currently set at $15.

(3)  CREATE A LOG IN

NOTE:  You'll see these instructions again after you've submitted a membership application.  We've provided them here for those of you who want to know our entire membership application process.

RWA^® Online operates nearly 100% on a discussion board/forums located on this website.  To access the boards, you must be a paid member of the chapter.  Each new chapter member must register for the boards and you can speed up your membership processing by completing your registration now.

Registration consists of simply entering your name as it appears on your membership application in the USER NAME box and creating a personal password.  Once your registration is submitted and confirmation of your payment is received, your account will be validated.  You will get an email from the RWA Online Discussion Boards when you've been granted access to the boards. Until your membership is finalized, feel free to drop a note in our GUEST LOUNGE forum, which is open to all public visitors.

NOTE:  User names MUST be your first and last name as it appears on your membership application!  Screen names are not allowed.  Although, if you'd like the chapter to know your pen name, create a name such as "Jane Smith (w/a Howard Snellingham)".
