Sarah Reid
****permission to forward granted**** RWA's Southern Magic (Birmingham, Alabama) will be presenting a FREE on-line workshop September 28 through October 2. It will have an open forum through a YAHOO loop format. If you plan to enter the Linda Howard Award of Excellence or any contest, or if want to be a first round judge, take this great workshop. We will cover the following points. MONDAY - What do contest entrants really want out of a contest? (Includes looking at the score sheet and going over the questions.) TUESDAY - What makes the contest experience unpleasant for entrants? WEDNESDAY - How do we give contest entrants what they want out of a contest while still being honest and forthright? THURSDAY - How do we avoid driving entrants away from our contest while we're being honest and forthright? FRIDAY - Open Q & A. Actually, every day is Q & A day---feel free to make comments and ask question any time. The instructors will be Carla Swafford, contest coordinator for the Linda Howard Award of Excellence, and YOU.
