August 9 through August 20: Building Blocks of Fiction: Characterization and Plotting With Tambra Kendall Blurb: Every author wants characters that will leap off the page to grab a reader by the heart. In this two-week workshop, you’ll learn to write stronger, more dynamic characters through the use of interview techniques, archetypes, and stimulus and response patterns. Specific points included will be POV, GMC, avoiding the Sagging Middle, and Marketing Strategies. Questions will be welcomed throughout the program. This workshop is geared toward the Intermediate to Advanced writer, but all are welcome! Bio: Tambra Kendall knew from the time she was 12 years old she wanted to write romance. All those summers spent at the public library reading historical romance provided her love of the genre. In 1994, she joined Romance Writers of America. She is published with Red Rose Publishing, Whiskey Creek Press Torrid and Aspen Mountain Press. Ms. Kendall writes sweet to highly sensual and erotic paranormal romance. Ms. Kendall teaches online creative writing classes for Earthly Charms and various RWA chapters. She is a CTM, a Competent Toastmaster, and speaks to local writing organizations on the craft of writing. All payments for a workshop must be received by the registration cut off date. Payments received after the cut-off date can be applied to a future workshop of the Applicant's' choosing. If a workshop is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as instructor inability to teach class, registration fees will be applied to a future workshop of the applicant's choosing.
