Learn how the plot points forced the character to make choices and learn from mistakes. Through these tests in the characters' growth arc, they learned and changed enough by the end of the story to make a sacrifice for love they wouldn't have been able to make at the start of the book or movie. Through this sacrifice, they earn their happily ever after. The instructor will explain these concepts, showing how to apply these techniques to build stronger plots and memorable characters. Course Outline: I. Introducing your Flawed character A. Show him/her in action B. Give him/her redeeming qualities C. Challenge his/her self-concept D. Call to Adventure from Hero's Journey II. Back Your Flawed Character in a Corner (or two!)- CONFLICT A. When tested, he/she will have to make choices B. Good choices and Bad Choices C. Reflection Time- What has he/she learned so far? D. Illustrate Small Changes Through Actions III. Sacrifice- The Ultimate Test of How They've Grown A. Earn your HEA- Prove they've changed B. Big or Small- It's the thought that counts C.
