Patti Fischer 0
RWA® ONLINE presents: Become a Better Editor: Top Editing Strategies for Writers presented by MM Pollard Class begins: March 7, 2016 Length: 4 weeks Registration opens: February 22, 2016 Cost: $15 Register at http://www.rwaonlinechapter.org/campus.htm Class Blurb: Knowing HOW to edit is just as important as knowing WHAT to look for when you edit. During this four-week workshop, students will practice (homework) searching for and correcting common errors in punctuation, grammar, and usage, using MM’s seven editing strategies. This workshop covers common writing errors, like missing words and missing inflections, comma splices, and more. You will have the opportunity to practice using the strategies on your own worst errors. MM will give feedback to all participants who submit homework on time. Think of homework as an opportunity for a mini-edit by MM. About MM Pollard: MM Pollard puts her teaching skills as English teacher extraordinaire and her experience as editor with Black Velvet Seductions to good use in presenting workshops for writers. She has helped many writers improve their language and writing skills through her fun workshops sponsored by Writer University, many RWA® chapters, and in her virtual classroom. MM is sure she can help you, too, master the fundamentals of English. MM presented her first face-to-face workshop during the Florida Romance Writers’ Conference Cruise in February, 2015, and lived! She would love to present at more conferences in the future as well as continue her online workshops. Class is open to both RWA® and non RWA® members. Note: Members of RWA® Online Chapter 136 do not pay for any of our workshops. Cost to join is $25 per year. Format: Courses are conducted via online discussion (bulletin) board on the RWA® Online website (no email loops). Non-chapter members MUST complete both the workshop registration AND the discussion board login registration for access. Deadline to register is March 9, 2016.
