Patti Fischer 0
Writing and Resistance: Overcoming Our Blocks to Success presented by Mindy Hardwick Workshop begins: December 4, 2017 Class length: 3 weeks Cost: $15 (free to RWA® Online Chapter members) Registration opens: November 20, 2017 Link to registration: http://rwaonlinechapter.org/?page_id=503 Workshop Description: You’ve got a great idea and are working full steam ahead. Suddenly everything grinds to a screeching halt. Commitments are screaming at you from all sides, you’ve got the flu and you just can’t get to your writing commitments. Stop. Don’t let fearful resistance block your success. In this workshop, we’ll look at the ways resistance shows up in our writing life, the causes of resistance and how it blocks our success. But more importantly, we’ll explore ways to fight the fear. Participants will create a plan of action for the next time that sneaky pest resistance shows up. About the Presenter: Mindy Hardwick enjoys writing first love and sweet, contemporary romance for all ages and is known for her small-town, artistic community stories. Her romance books include: Sweetheart Cottage, Sweetheart Summer, Romance for All the Seasons, and Weaving Magic. She also writes for children including: Seymour’s Secret, Stained Glass Summer and Finders Keepers. Mindy enjoys teaching others about writing and she frequently talks to writers groups, book clubs and libraries. When she’s not writing, Mindy can be found art journaling, visiting flea markets dreaming of new ways to repurpose old materials, and walking on the Oregon Coast beaches with her dog, Stormy. Mindy believes that a great story can warm the heart, lift the spirit, and heal the soul. Deadline to register is December 4, 2017 FMI: http://rwaonlinechapter.org/?page_id=503 Or email Patti Fischer at fisc40pa@aol.com You do not need to be a RWA® member to take the class.
